Detailer in NJ needed to de-stink my truck

Hey guys! It's been a while since I've been on here, but I've missed you all! Anyway, just got a new (to me) work truck, Silver Chevy Silverado that was previously used by another guy with two very big slobbery dogs. Since he stopped using the truck, it's been detailed a couple of times and...

    gg6 shutting off

If the extension cord you're using is too long you'll have too much voltage drop across the wire. When dealing with motors, as voltage drops, current rises, which can overheat the motor. Could that be a cause? Maybe you recently started using a different cord? - Helder

    Quickie Bodywork Shampoo/Cleansing Lotion/Fuzion mini/DP Rejuvenator

Nice job and I love your wheels. The car looks so clean (the overall lines of it). The paint too.

Can someone tell me what these spots are?

In my opinion it's not fish eyes from bad paint prep. Unfortunately, I've seen many of them and they typically have smooth, rounded edges. Imagine you stretched a latex glove and pushed down with your finger. That's the shape a fish eye makes. It's caused by silicone or oils that repel the...

    "Lime Peel" (Micro Orange Peel)??

Without being there, it's hard to say where the problem actually lies. However, having a body shop in the family for many years gives me a hint that the clear may have been sprayed too "dry", meaning the gun was held too far away from the car while being sprayed, allowing the clear to partially...

    845 for trim?

I've had really good luck with WETS on my wife's Mazda 3. The durability is going on about 5 months without reapplication on the cowl and window trim. The front bumper needs reapplication because of all the abuse it sees. - Helder

    Review: Wolfgang DGPS 3.0

I also think you should give a real-world assessment of durability in a few months. And nice job!

    Coolant leak: 1998 Oldz Alero

I agree with 90sedan. Start with the easy stuff, but it could end up being the head gasket. It's not summer, but when the head gasket leaks into the coolant passages, it can boil the coolant and you'll be able to hear the bubbling in the overflow tank when you park the car after a longish...

Flex XC 3401 Leaking Oil? Cleaning Procedures?

In that first picture it looks like you have a decent-sized crack in the cast aluminum housing. Maybe you set or dropped the DA down on the ground? It looks like gear lube for the orbital mechanism to me.

    Any ideas what this is?

    Definitely.

    Any ideas what this is?

Having worked on many Hondas when my dad had his body shop, the only things that ever came pre-painted were things like spoilers and moldings. For reasons I've discussed in another thread about variations of the same color, replacement body parts generally come unpainted with a satin black...

    blacklight/wax bonding issue.

I have the GG Paint Prep and, though I havent used it yet, my understanding from the instructions is that it needs to be rinsed off well, not wiped away. You may not have actually gotten rid of the Paint Prep, severely compromising your LSP. I'd try again if I were you and report back with the...

"Superomniphobic" Could this be the future of coatings?

I saw this article on Breaking News & Top Stories - World News, US & Local | NBC News about a new University of Michigan finding. Read the article and check out this picture of a water bead bouncing in time lapse! It seems that durability is an issue as of now, but I'm confident something...
