    Best microfiber towels for rinseless

I've never done a rinseless, and I intent to try the GD method with meguiars d114. I want to use it between traditional 2 BM washes and during low temperatures in winter. Not so much for reduced water usage, since we have plenty here in Holland. :) My initial thoughts were, if I take the best...

    Best microfiber towels for rinseless

Hi everyone, I know there are a lot of different microfiber towels and preferences out there, but what would be the best towel I could buy for rinseless washes. I'd like to try the Gary Dean method, so I'm about to buy a set of 8 towels for washing and few more for drying. Because of the...

    Dlux

Exactly! I'd like to know this too... What happens if the trim collects dew during the night.

Spots on trim after washing with filtered (0 ppm) water in the sun

No, unfortunately not. The only differences are: No spots on the trim with a little rougher, less smooth texture No spots on the shadow side. Any suggestions how to remove them besides washing, vinegar, claying, hand polishing and replacing? I'm afraid to try machine polishing, because the...

Spots on trim after washing with filtered (0 ppm) water in the sun

Well, the trim on the side (closeup picture) has a one year old carpro d-lux coating, and the roof trim has a two week old d-lux coating. Think it would be related?

Spots on trim after washing with filtered (0 ppm) water in the sun

Thanks for the replies. I'm sure the water was 0 ppm, as I measured it several times. Also, there are no spots on the paint itself. The car was quite hot, so the water did evaporate quite fast. I guess it's possible some dirt trapped in the water drops, and left these stains. But would they be...

Spots on trim after washing with filtered (0 ppm) water in the sun

Hi everyone, I recently bought a water filter, which gives me 0 ppm water. Worked perfectly until yesterday when I rinsed my car in the sun (no washing, was only a little dirty). After letting it dry in the sun the black trim pieces (on the sun side) showed small white stains, just like water...

Fixing rusted paint chip A-pillar, advice needed

Thanks, really appreciate the advice! I think I will try this method and see how it turns out. I plan to wetsand the blob to make it level with the rest. I'm only a little worried the spot might be a bit too big and be fairly noticeable. If it would be, then I guess I will have to fill the gap...

Fixing rusted paint chip A-pillar, advice needed

I was able to remove the epoxy primer with thinner, still a little bit overlapping the paint but it was as close as I could go without risking to remove the primer too much. I´ll remove some more primer right before painting.

Fixing rusted paint chip A-pillar, advice needed

Thanks a lot for your responses! I can remove some of the primer, I didn't remove it earlier that precisely because I presumed my best option was to wetsand/scuff a larger area and maybe level with filler/bondo and then spray a color and clear. I'm really doubting between this and using layers...

Fixing rusted paint chip A-pillar, advice needed

Hi everyone, I'm working on a paint chip that turned into a small rust bubble on my a-pillar (bmw 3 series). My original plan was to remove the rust with a fiberglass pen, and fill it with some touch up paint. However, the pen didn't cut it and I had to use a dremel, followed by epoxy primer...
