Starting a Youtube series of videos... ?

If you think a disclaimer is a good idea, I would put the disclaimer in the videos description not in the video itself, thats just kind of tacky and reminds me of a 3am infomertial for the latest fat burning supplement. The only detailing Youtuber I watch is Larry from Ammo. I just checked one...

    Starting Up Part Time Detailing

If you're doing washing and waxing that will be about $50 on a sedan. People will hire you based on you prices. You'll most likely be cash or check, so just undercut whomever else is in your area. Products of your doing something that basic, keep your products cheap. Something like Megs...

What to charge boat and rv

For the RV I would charge about $8 per foot. They're so easy and it shouldn't take longer than 6 hours. The boat if it's just washing and wax, maybe in the $5-$10 as well. Bass boats have nothing to them.

    2007 lincoln navigator Cquartz UK

Nice work! Just a tip: blur out plates. I use Fotor it's free and you can add shapes. I just use a colored rectangle and place it over the numbers/letters.

    Filling Scratches

Glaze is the only product that really fills the paint and hides shallow defects. The only downside to a glase is that they tend to only like a week or 2.

    paintchips problem after repairing

Tricky situation. Is he asking you to re-paint the hood yourself? Or does he want you to pay for a body shop to re-paint? If you're comfortable with painting, I would offer to re-paint the hood for him. Of course charge him for materials because paint and clear are going to be expensive. I...

Well worn bumper cover - what to do???

I'd go to a body shop and have them re-do it. Then put a clear bra over it.

    Can you review our prices?

High jacking or not, this is an issue that needs to be addressed. Personally, and I'm not being arrogant, but I wouldn't look at their car for $20. That's insulting to you and your business. Although, I don't know your day-to-day operations, here is what I do... I let everything go to...

Meguiars ultimate compound vs clear coat safe rubbing compound

UC is a rubbing compound. And is safe. As are all auto compounds. With all rubbing compounds you have to use a less abrasive polish after. Regardless of how smart their abrasives are or how much they diminish. There is no "shortcut". But I cannot comment on your pictures because I can't...

    Show car finish

The real answer is you really can't get a show car out of a daily driver, well not in the true sense. What the are probably referring to is the mirror finish, with no swirls, scratches, etc.. But a true show car has many additional, layers of clear coat added and then removed. So they will add...

    Removing 3M tape residue?

Same as de-badging a car, use a heat gun/blow dryer. Just keep it moving and touch the surrounding area frequently. Then use a plastic putty knife, available at Lowe's for like $2. If any residue remains the, go with Goo Gone or a body solvent. I typically will polish the area after with like...

    Menzerna SF4500 Gritty?

Yes. Its supposed to be gritty-ish. Those grits (abrasives) are what polishes the paint. No abrasive = no paint corrections. Yes meguiars uses abrasives. The Menz products you mentioned is very fine and does not have a lot of cutting power. Similiar to like a Megs Swirl Remover. If you want to...

    Maddening Juke!

Back to the Juke. OP I typically use Megs 26 as a LSP. It is a unique product as it is both synthetic and natural. Also its only like $13.50 at the AG store. Worth giving a shot!

    White Traverse

    1. They are B pillars, assuming they are the black piano plastic... Compound will destroy them. An ultrafine polish is what I use like a Megs 9 or Menz 4500. 2. Since you are doing a paint correction, APC, Magic Eraser, etc.. It really doesn't matter too much as any imperfections left behind...
