I tried LC pads that i used on my Porter cable. I found they would work but, they were thick and so, not so stable. I ended up spending a ton of cash and bought a bunch of the Groits pads. They are pretty pricey!

I have used the same exact combo you have used on many a Porsche with the same results. I switched to a Groits Boss 21 and the swirls are gone. I don't think the PC is good at removing deep swirls on Porsche paint(or our Audi). I can't comment on other paints/car brands.

I think you guys are right. My PC gets in the tight spots but, slow for paint correction. I think a 5" pad for the G21 and or a smaller machine for tighter areas. Ps-this is not a knock on the G21. (It is a very powerful tool!) This is a case of fine tuning my technique and choosing the right...
