    Finishing Polish For A Beginner

It's the third one. Thanks for sending me the link. I have a pad cleaner and pad brush, just don't have access to compressed air to this particular job. Like I said, if I have to come back the following day with fresh pads, I will.

Yeah I absolutely love his channel. I'll try to find the video with the LC purple wool. Thanks!

hmmm... thank you for letting me know that. I guess I'll try to go out there Saturday and at least correct half the car. and if I run out of LC purple, I'll clean them that night and put a fan on them and go back on Sunday to finish it up. Next job I'll order more. Do you seem to have the same...

Yes, I plan on finishing this car with the white thinpro polishing pad and CP reflect. I even have black pads as well but I think the white with its little cutting abilities will work great

We will see how it does on Saturday. I've been researching and talking to people who use reflect. I know it works well with very little product, 2-3 passes max and lower machine speeds.

    Finishing Polish For A Beginner

Well finally got all of my supplies and started my first paint correction on a friends 98 silver C5 and it's going great. It was raining pretty hard on Saturday so we kept it inside and I spent most of my time cleaning the interior with Ultima Shampoo gel and interior guard. Excellent products...

Also if some of the touch up paint/3000 grit sanding scratches are on the mirrors and you only have 5.5" pads, should you try to correct the mirrors with the polisher or just use an applicator pad with TLC and then the reflect? Just not sure if I would get the results I'm looking for with the...

    Finishing Polish For A Beginner

After reading some threads by the man Milke Phillips himself, I've decided to order a 6 pack of Thin Pros from autogeek and go with that. 3 White and 3 Black. White for the TLC and black for the CP reflect. If I need a more aggressive pad, I'll try to blue HDO or MF HDO. The paint is in pretty...

Ordered a lot of stuff and just received it in the mail. Just waiting to order the actual GG6 polisher and some pads. Now will I be okay with the LC HDO pads that I already have (yes I will be ordering a 3-4 of each cut/polish pad)? I know they were designed for a long throw polisher. Or should...

    Finishing Polish For A Beginner

Still waiting on consistent warm weather here in misery (Missouri). Got the drag radials and new wheels that I coated on the car! Really cool seeing the water just fall right off. I'm very eager to coat the entire vehicle now. Dropping the car off Tuesday for the tune and I might have the B...

So one last question, how would you guys suggest cleaning foam and microfiber pads by hand? As in, after a job and getting them ready for the next vehicle.

That's the plan. Have 2 different test panels and use the MF cut pad and the blue cut foam pad with the last cut and see what looks best. Then go over both with the orange polish pad w/ 3500 and see how it works

Thanks again for everyone's advice!! I'll update this thread as soon as it gets consistently warmer out. Getting the drag radials mounted on the new wheels this Saturday and then the cars getting dropped off to have the tune finished on it, March 5th.

From what I've seen, I believe the last cut will be everything that I need whether it be aggressive or not. It really does change with pad selection and is an incredible product. I've seen it remove aggressive paint defects and I've also seen it finish out a C7 Z06 perfectly with the orange LC...
