when i say a bigger area , i think its the consistancy of the bigger area i meant , like with the brinkman you have the centre part of the beam sort of fades out , the sun gun seems to have less fade on the edge of the beam

thats just it budman the wider beam illuminates a bigger area , so its easier to spot the defects
