Took my wheels to the local tire shop

On point one, I'm not sure you know what vandalism means, per the dictionary: van·dal·ism - action involving deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property. Are you really implying it was deliberate destruction?? Cause you've lost me there. Careless? Yes. But that brings me...

    Sonax FE Plus

Yeah, personal vehicle. Curiosity got the best of me to see whether I'd prefer this over P21S... but this stuff is expensive - the amount I used on my vehicle had to cost more than $5 worth of product. I'd consider it a 2/year wheel "deep clean" with some AIO / soap used with agitation for...

    Sonax FE Plus

Got a chance to mess around with this product for the first time today. I took a picture before, then a picture each minute as it dwelled (1, 2, and 3) and then a final pic after using my brush/wheel woolie. It worked well and it really cleaned up the barrels nicely, but I think I prefer P21S...

I agree fully. Also, it's tough to try to get compensated for your "time" when other people would have simply let it go a long time ago. Maybe no one owes you anything for the time you've spent on this... Here's to hoping you get a satisfactory result, nonetheless.

Took my wheels to the local tire shop

Can't help but wonder what the OP would have done in my situation. Took my '14 Jeep Grand Cherokee (black, no less) in for a recall (<1500 miles on the odometer). Due to parts shortages, the vehicle was at the dealer for 2 weeks; I'm not too pleased about it, but I understand that "things...

    removing morning dew

I try to go about 70 on my way to work ;-) Pretty fun to watch the water collect then stream right off - I just applied Klasse AIO on Sat morning.

2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 (Dual-stage paint correction w/ CQuartz Finest)

Awesome work! That reflection shot of the hood is really something!

What are some of the services you guy's up sell?

I'm a weekend warrior, but it seems to me that a junkyard flat panel (hood, trunk) showing results of various paint correction services would be an excellent visual aid for those customers who think wash/wax is all there is to a "detail". You could tape it off into sections to demonstrate...

    what would you use?

I have an '06 A4 2.0T, and I use some APC with a brush/wheel woolie on the exhaust tips to get the majority of the gunk off, then I'll either use P21S polishing soap or something similar to get mine shinier. Yours can be improved a lot based on the pic, but I wouldn't expect "new" results, based...

Took my wheels to the local tire shop

Your rims weren't new, they were the same age as the car. Three to four years, judging by the model year in your signature. I doubt you'd want true 1=1 replacements, you want brand new ones. And really? Silver tire stems are a big deal? On some level, I get it, but c'mon, man. I'm bummed it...

Took my wheels to the local tire shop

Since you asked, because in my opinion, your expectations aren't in line with reality. You happen to be an extreme enthusiast/perfectionist, but the legal system is not generally set up to rule in your favor on a practical matter. The wheels still work, check, and can be made to look "like new"...

Took my wheels to the local tire shop

I just read like 115 posts, so I feel the need to weigh in. I agree 100% with the shop owner. Sorry.

    You know you're obsessed when

You are leaving the office, see a dirty black Benz and think to yourself "man, those wheels could look SO much better. I bet that guy/girl would be blown away" then you imagine all the different products you might like to use on the car... Haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
