Hey all,
I am building a 57 Chevy short bed. The time is here to order wheels. I told myself I would never have polished aluminum wheels again but here we are............
Was 100% on ceramic coated black wheels until I started seeing them in pics and realized unless you are on top of the car...
I did try aluminum polish already in an inconspicuous spot and it did nothing at all. Was Mother's regular aluminum polish. Never saw or heard of Busch's. Will look that up! Always looking for a better polish to replace Mothers Billet polish that disappeared! That stuff was amazing!
Will look into the collinite ty
As for the headers, here are pics of new vs now. guess you could compare it to the look of polished and tarnished pewter
Have a 68 Camaro that is black with white stripes. It is at the restoration shop now getting professionally buffed(rotary).
Other than that, I have alot of chrome, billet trim and billet wheels. (Have Adams aluminum polish both coarse and fine and not impressed at all)
The only other odd...
I've used it. Loved the results at 1st. Used the wash over a fresh polish on my black truck with 2 coats of WGDGPS applied. Was using this as a maintenance wash over the winter whenever we had a warm enough day - once a month maybe? Towards spring, I noticed a weird hazing and weird...
Sorry for any confusion. We had a 50 degree day today so I left work a couple hours early and took advantage. I did a traditional 2 bucket wash with a hose. Sprayed off all the loose dirt and salt with the hose and started washing. No pre-treat, no pre-soak, one mf mit.
From using ONR in...
It is winter here in NJ! Roads covered in salt and freezing temps. Hard to get the truck washed - been 3-4 weeks between washes on my black 2018 Silverado.
Did a full paint correction back in August I believe using WGDGPS and topped with Fuzion. Since then all I have been doing since was...
Just tried this for the 1st time on my black Chevy Silverado. Little to no suds, great scent and the lubricity of this product far exceeds anything I have used thus far. The beading action is phenomenal - so much in fact that I had an issue. Couldn't keep my truck wet enough during the whole...
I have actually been using Distilled water to wash on site - not sure if that is the same as DI which could also mean De-ionized?
On a different note, I do have the Eagle 500gsm towels and actually hate them. Not only do they not wipe off clean - they leave lint behind everywhere. Maybe...
Wow thanks soo much for your comment. The gyeon drying towel is absolutley phenomenal. One quick pass and it is dry! So much better than the waffle weave towels I have!
I think you are right and my wash towels are not plush enough coupled with the WW not being the ideal wash in the situation...
Actually using forest green edgeless towels I bought here and a gyeon purple plush drying towel
For the detailing process I am using an other brand from elsewhere
