    About to start using PC

I washed and waxed my wife's car last week and would like to use the PC I received this week on her car. Do I need to strip the wax before I start with a swirl remover?

    Counterweight?

So I ordered a 7424xp kit and the counterweight because many of the kits showed them as an individual part. However, upon opening the box, it sure looks like the PC already has a counterweight installed. Is this the case? Do I need to install the other counterweight?

    Post your MicroFibers

You know, the white ones are from walmart ($10 for 6 i think) and they hold up real well for multipurpose use. They aren't something I would wipe my paint down with but they are great on the interior, door jambs and engine bay. As for decent microfiber, I bought the blue drying towel from...

The inlaws use it for fast cash on small construction jobs. You just need to watch the fine print and the amount of money per day you can run through it without holds.

First Time Detailing using a Polisher

You are correct, the hood has quite a few small chips in it. Now that I think about it I had a prelude about 8 years ago that had the same issue and the paint was only 1-2 years old. Since it gets dirty so often, I really don't mind washing the van properly every week as needed (the interior...

First Time Detailing using a Polisher

So I finally took the plunge and bought a PC from autogeek yesterday. I decided on the kit with the XMT swirl remover and finishing glaze. Now, I have never used a polisher for more than about a few minutes but I feel comfortable with the process. Its the different usages that I have some...

Hey everyone. New to the forums and somewhat new to detailing. I worked at a body shop for a while as a teenager and learned the basics of wet sanding, cleaning and buffing cars but after some research it all seemed to be very old school. After getting some tips from OCDetails and...
