Sorry for your loss, what a wonderful post. I lost my Dad last Feb and am in the process of “restoring” his 2014 Mustang. Your connection to him through the car will never fade. And both of you automatically have my respect being a police officers.

I’m by no means an expert, just the hood has more swirls than the sides. Roof is panoramic glass so that’s not an option. Trunk lid is kinda small too so hood has plenty of space to work with.

Reporting back. Test section done on 1 square foot section of hood. Within my skill set I just could not get by with just the Sonax/Rupes Yellow. Very pleased with the Jescar/Sonax combo though. Kinda expected this as prior experience on my Focus ST with same paint but less swirls came out great...

Yes definitely! I have 4 white cars, one coated with Polish Angel and 2 with Gyeon Syncro, 4th is currently getting prepped for Syncro. The first time you see it from a distance after the coating fully cures there will be a big smile!

Just getting started restoring Dads 2014 Mustang. Plan for Jescar Correcting Compound then Sonax Perfect Finish to prep for Gyeon Syncro. Someone with Jescar experience please tell me that these swirls are not too much for the Jescar with the Megs microfiber disc then Perfect Finish with Rupes...

Well finally having some success with the chin spoiler. Ended up using the CG wax and oil remover, then Sonax Multistar. Decided on Gyeon Trim for the coating because I have prior experience with it. Thanks again to everyone and good luck with all the other trim projects going on!

You guys think that Pinnacle Black Label Trim Restore would hide this?

M39 did less to it than Megs APC at 10:1. 70% IPA As well as Gyeon Prep didn’t make much of a difference either. License plate mount is similar so took that off today and will work on that until I figure it out. Gonna run that sucker through the dishwasher in the top rack just to see what that...
