    oxy clean to clean towels?

I make my own oxygen cleaner similar to oxy-clean and it works very well. I do however pre-treat our really dirty MF's with Dawn blue, but most simply get washed in a washing machine with about half the recommended dose of my choice liquid laundry soap (ERA) mixed with my oxygen cleaner in a...

A final end to the Edge 2K ORANGE PAD confusion!

If you want more fun with Edge pads, look into their wool pads. I have a complete set of 6" and 8" Edge 2K wool pads in addition to all their foam pads (4", 6", & 8" in flat & convoluted for 6" and 8") and I really like their wool pads a lot, especially for initial cuts and for working gel coats...

A final end to the Edge 2K ORANGE PAD confusion!

And then there's the differences in the foams even among the same colors. For instance, I have some white Edge 2K pads that are soft and fluffy and other Edge 2K white pads that are made from MUCH stiffer foam and both types came from AG.

    "The Wax Shop"

They were especially big in California many years ago. I still saw their products being sold at local car swaps a few months back. I used to use their products ~15+ years ago with excellent results when they were located in Alta Loma CA. Their products were top notch at that time and I turned...

    Comments - Cyclo DoublePrecision™ Pads

I got a chance to use the green Cyclo pads today. I had planned to do an older white Toyota 4 Runner completely with the Cyclo, but the customer called and gave me a new time constraint. I had to change my plans and work quickly and agressive with a rotary instead of doing everything with the...

    Comments - Cyclo DoublePrecision™ Pads

Hi Justin. I have a couple small businesses I own and have a stake in, none of which were involved specifically with detailing about 5 years ago. My careers were in systems engineering and investment analysis, but it was custom paint & body work that was one of the jobs that helped put me...

    Comments - Cyclo DoublePrecision™ Pads

I just bought & received a complete set of these 4" pads and the new 6" red wave pad from AG to compliment all my other Edge pads. I'll be using these new 4 inch pads tomorrow during the afternoon and much of the evening on our cyclos & rotaries and again on Saturday.

    How To Duragloss (PBA 601)

No, PBA is definitely not a must. It's great if you have it, but it's not a must. Just make sure your have a fresh clean & prepped surface like you would want with any LSP.

    Toyota Tundra Crew Max

I hope you fit in it. I'm 6'5" / 235lbs and I do not have enough headroom in the Toyota Tundra Doublecab. The CrewMax has even less headroom according to the specs. It's frustrating, because I fit into our Toyota Matrix, but not their new Tundra. I needed a couple new trucks for one of my...

    Wax Recommendation

Could it be that you're using too much Tech Wax or trying to apply / remove it in the sun or ??? Megs #16 is super easy to remove unless you're putting it on too thick or trying to apply / remove in the sun or maybe the towel you're using to wipe off is the issue??? I just finished a black...

How does duragloss 105 compare to these sealants?

I asked their Chemist (Bill ???) last year this very question and he assured me their last step products such as Aquawax, Total Performance Polish, etc, provided plenty of UV protection. For now, I have to take his word for it, but I used to have a nice UV meter that measured UV transmittance...

To Wave or Not to Wave...

All my Edge 2K 6" & 8" inch pads are flat. I have the new 6" red wave on order and it should be here next week, but that will be my only Edge 6" wave pad. The Edge wave pads were not available when I bought most of my Edge pads, otherwise I probably would have had some wave pads mixed in there...

    Review: Edge Schmitt

I like my Shmitt's, but all the ones I've used so far are tearing where my hand goes in and then they fit sloppy loose on my hand :( They're all tearing in the same spot in the foam on the left side just below where they're bonded together. My oldest son also has this problem. He had large...

To Wave or Not to Wave...

Having multiple sizes really comes in handy for me, especially with vehicles that have lots of contours or stipes. I use more green, blue and white pads than the other colors with blue being my most used color when working on autos. I don't know how this compares to other people.
