wax (collinite 476S) over HDSpeed ??

Hmm. Didn't know 325 existed....I had just finished with 3M clay bar and HD polish and HD speed before the 476S. But anyway, the thought process on the QD is my hope (false?) that after all the hard work getting a few layers of wax on there - now using QD to maintain isn't just pretty, but also...

wax (collinite 476S) over HDSpeed ??

Thanks everyone - much appreciate the help. And now I have learned the hard way that with this Collinite 476S ....."thin, thin, thin" is better than "thin" and "thin, thin". Yes, I got schooled. Not to make this endless but .... Now that I have 2 coats of 476 on there, just as I was...

Body Filler option (over Eastwood Rust Encapsulator) on my trusty 88 Landcruiser

Thank you very much - I'm going to locate someone local (LA) who is able to weld in the patch sheet. (and of course open that up to proper size and clean edges etc, and do a better fix on the interior roof panel) Something I have always wondered though....on a patch panel for this exterior...

Body Filler option (over Eastwood Rust Encapsulator) on my trusty 88 Landcruiser

Sorry about the photo - i edited it again to brighten it up a bit - attached - it is the right rear upper corner of my Landcruiser drip rail This is just a first attempt to get the rust halted a bit (like i said, wire brushed, cleaned and then coated with the Eastwood Encapsulator) It was...

Body Filler option (over Eastwood Rust Encapsulator) on my trusty 88 Landcruiser

OK so i realize that iH8mud forum exists as well as other sites for my various jalopies....but perhaps someone can share their knowledge about the steps way before detailing .... I have a '88 Landcruiser - just a few spots of rust where I have wire brushed, sanded, alcohol wiped and then...

Wax (Collinite 476S) over HD Speed is fine ... right?

My question is about applying wax after HDSpeed Got the fiancees BMW all cleaned and finally no waterspots using washes, 3M clay, wash again, IPA and HD polish. I have invested in HD Speed and Collinite 476S wax, but now reading so much about HD Speed / HD Poly (and i gots no Poly).....Gotta...

Is there a recipe for cleaning and protecting my old Single Stage paint? (lots of blems but decent condition)

Dang - i did some reading on this site about applying and leaving overnight Meguiars #7 - putting a question in my head ... would that fit into my process ? Like maybe doing that instead of HD Polish+ ? And asked another way, has anyone ever tried HD Polish+ on a piece of paper to see if the...

Is there a recipe for cleaning and protecting my old Single Stage paint? (lots of blems but decent condition)

Awesome awesome and thanks - i think i've got it - and our So Cal weather at the moment will allow.... I'm going to try this recipe (1) clay (2) HD Polish+ (3) HD Speed (4) side by side test on the hood using (A) Optimum spray wax on one half and (B) Collinite 426S on the other half Cheers

Is there a recipe for cleaning and protecting my old Single Stage paint? (lots of blems but decent condition)

Thank you - very much appreciated Actually i don't have any 3D HD Speed (yet, but might need for other vehicles - looks interesting) So if I did grab some and go that route it sounds like you wouldn't recommend a high quality carnauba wax over that .... is that because there is no need and a...

Is there a recipe for cleaning and protecting my old Single Stage paint? (lots of blems but decent condition)

Want to bring my Single Stage paint back to life and protect it – hoping to get educated and then gear up before spring weather gets here. I noticed some great advice on a thread from last year...
