I too would bw interested to hear answers on this. As I'm putting together a list of pads, polisher, and backing plate to do my cars that have light scratches from many washes done poorly. I will be using M105 and or M205.

Waffel weave with a leaf blower. But I have not done more than 2 cars in a day.

Speaking of back in the day. I remember using Simoniz Paste (furniture wax) on my 68 Buick Electra.

If you can not feel it with your nail, and it has not been repainted I would say just keep at it. I have a 02 Tacoma and I made 20 to 30 passes in some areas to clean it up. I also still have a few bird dropping spots on the cab that have not come out fully. I used M105 with a G100 and 7" yellow...

This is one area I need to pay more attention to.

I'm with a lot of the others that use both. I blower get most of the water, and gets the hidden areas. Then go over with a good drying towel to get all the water and use a quick detailer as you wipe. :xyxthumbs:

I am glad to see your concerns about your order are resolved. I think you will be very happy with the Porter Cable XP. I borrowed a Meguiar’s G100 from a coworker and used the 7” Solo pads he had. It took a very long time but I got my truck that has hardly been washed in the 4 years prior...

Mike is the man. Great explanation on diaper cloths. I too have used diapers ,20 years ago, but now things are different. The new microfibers are much better for the paint. Plusher and softer. If you have a few diapers around I might use them for the wheels, door jams, or engine bay. my .02...

I agree with craigr more info, are these spots on the paint, or the windows?
