Using a little hair of the dog like Optimus Grime suggested is about the only thing I can think of. Maybe rub some Essence on it might level it out. Otherwise buffing if off and starting over might be it.
The UK is still the land of waxes. They seem to have a wax specially made for every car. I’m ashamed to say I haven’t used any of my waxes in years. Every time I think about selling them on eBay I change my mind. My descendants will probably toss them all in the trash when I croak. I do...
Yep, Solution Finish is the way to go. They even have a coating that goes over Solution Finish extending its life. I have not tried it, but I have talked to the the inventor of Solution Finish a few times and he is a stand up guy.
I’m trying to get a little more information on Rupes Uno Advanced. Can you apply a coating on top of Advanced after applying? Is it like Carpro Essence or more like Essence Plus? I hate when there is limited information about a product.l
Hi Mike, I know I’m resurrecting an old thread, but I just bought a 2018 Lexus LC500 and it is supposed to have one of those magic paints that heal themselves. Did this LS 500 have the same paint and did it give you any special problems? Thanks
I was unable to get a bottle of 303 Graphene from AG so I had to go to a competitors site and get a bottle (shipping time sucked). I washed and deconned the hood of my wife’s car (it sits outside so it is the test subject) and applied the Graphene. I like the application, it goes on similar to...
I wouldn’t say anything about a “4 year ceramic coating” unless you are offering a warranty that the coating is going to last for 4 years, and don’t do that unless you are planning to open a whole different can of worms.
If you can get a replacement window, do it and save yourself a major headache. It’s a lot easier to replace a window than to buff out a scratch in glass.
Just clean the mold with a good interior cleaner like Nextzett Interior Cleaner, then roll down the windows and park in the sun for a few days to dry out the interior. Before storing again buy some desiccant packages (Amazon sells them) and put a few in the car. These will absorb any future...
I had a 1980 Camaro I bought used back in 1982. It had the 6 cylinder engine and was so slow it was down right dangerous. They were nice looking cars but severely underpowered. I kept mine for 6 months before I traded it in. So many cars in the late 70’s and 80’s were hindered by poorly...
I really like a clay towel. I tried to like regular clay but I’m fumble fingered and I kept dropping it before I finished the job. Dropping a clay towel is not a disaster like dropping a clay bar, just rinse the clay towel and get back to work.
I am the one that said no to a “cleaner wax” based on my experience with VW plastic coated trim. The VW plastic coated trim would get hazy where I tried using Meguires Cleaner Wax so I just stay away from anything with abrasives in it when working on fake chrome. YMMV.
