    Graphics Protection

I just bought a 2004 Corvette Commemorative Edition coupe with 15,xxx miles on it. It is getting the full detail treatment There are silver and red graphics on the hood, roof, and rear deck. The graphics are stick-on not painted. I am wondering what the best way to preserve these graphics is. I...

    Best lights for detailing bay?

I have a two stall garage for my detailing bay which is probably 28' X 24'. I have five "Ecobulb" brand daylight bulbs. They are 85 watt bulbs which are the equivilent to 300 watt bulbs. These bulbs have a color temperature rating of 6500K and 4700 lumens. I put one bulb in the center of each...

My wish list no longer has the product pricing the way it did have and also no access to cart. What gives? Sure messes up my ordering. Roger T

    Need help with truck hood

I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado with a little over 200,000 miles on it. It is outside 24/7. I seal the paint in the fall and after surviving an Iowa winter, water still beads up on the paint surfaces. I use Mequiars Mirror Glaze No. 21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0. Roger T

    Your favorite color vehicle.

My favorite color is 2002-2003 Corvette Electron Blue. This is a dark blue. Clay bared, paint-corrected, polished, jeweled, and multiple coats of carnauba wax applied, this color is impressive to me. Roger T

    Handle or no handle?

I have a Porter Cable 7424XP, a Meguiars MT300, and a Harbor Freight DA polishers. I removed the handles from all three because I can apply greater pressure straight onto the pad easier and is less tiring. Try it with and without a handle and see what you think. Hope this helps. Roger T

    Metro Sidekick for truck?

I bought the Metro Sidekick and the DP blower and I am happy with both. I convinced my wife it is a good idea for me to buy all these "man toys" because they will sell well at my estate auction. This was a very bad idea. My wife has the undertaker and auctioneer phone numbers on speed-dial...

Taking it to the next level of shine

Mike Phillips, here on the Autogeek forum, has written about using Menzerna SF 4500 as an ultra fine finishing polish to "take it to the next level". Mike says this is a product that should be in everyones arsenal. You might want to read his article to help you with your decision. Roger T

    Upgrading from Porter Cable 7424XP

I think the new Meguiars MT300 is a great upgrade from the PC7424XP and half the cost of a Flex 3401XP. The MT300 has a new totque management system that will handle most situations. AGO has a 15% off sale going on now, with no exclusions, and $7.95 shipping. You are looking at about $195 to...

The wife - "You are not touching MY CAR!

How much work/correction does your car's paint need? Can you show your wife roughness in the paint with the "baggie" test? Can you show her spider webbing or swirls in the paint? Maybe by correcting a small area, you can demonstrate how talented you are. I hope this helps. Roger T
