Is this thing on? BlackFire still viable?

Thanks for that bit of history Setec. I have been a hobbyist for decades and remember when Zaino was all the rage. I used Duragloss products exclusively for many many years. It looks like autopia has some of the Pro Ceramic car wash left so I will order that and stick with the blackfire stuff...

Is this thing on? BlackFire still viable?

Doesn't PBMG make these products? You would certainly think they would keep it going since it is a "house" product. I like to buy products of the same line and moved to blackfire pro ceramic from CarPro products and the BF was easy to use and has been more durable than the Carpro stuff was...

Is this thing on? BlackFire still viable?

Why are there zero posts in this sub for years? I used Blackfire pro ceramic black edition on my new Alfa Romeo back in 2022 and have maintained it with blackfire wash and coating booster and it still beads awesome after 2 years. Now I notice that the Pro Ceramic wash I have been using is...

    Audi a6 2023

Did you build that crazy garage around the car? No worries about messing up that awesome finish if you can't get it out. :D

    PPF

Yes to professional removal, no to non matching paint.

    PPF

Shop around as prices vary significantly. I have been getting partial front on every car since 2010, which is 5 cars not including the one I just purchased 3 days ago. I kept 2 of those cars for 9 years and there was no discoloration and certainly no "edges getting dirt under them" to make...

You use coating on your paint protection film? Is there a benefit to that?

Blackfire Pro Black Edition - First Timer's Experience

I switched from CQUK to the Blackfire black a few months ago and am also extremely happy with the process and results. I have been using the coating booster periodically and using the Mothers Ceramic detailer for its intended purpose and it seems to play well with the coating. (used Carpro...

    Rock chips

I drive my own car about 20k miles a year for work and have been using PPFs for years and have only had one noticeable blemish due to something like a rock. The first few cars I did that with I had to get the front bumper painted because the chips were so bad.

Which Last Step Finish for a "Non-Detailer"?

Mike reviewed a spray on wipe off a few months ago and recommended it very highly but I can't remember what it was. Might have been more like 6 months ago...I would find that and send it to him. If he isn't hand washing it then it is not likely he will hand wax it either...spray on wipe off is...

Arg, dent and deep gouge on hood from rock :-(

Your insurance should pay for flying objects without putting it on your collision so it won't cause a rate increase. Definitely go that route.

New PPF, First Wash, Water Spots everywhere

I have had PPF on 5 cars during the last 15 years and never seen a spotting problem like that. I would advise dropping by the PPF shop with your light and have them look at it before starting to work on a solution.

Sealant that lasts and shines like Duragloss 111 but removes easier?

Mckee's HiDef is one I missed in my research. I'll check that out. Thanks! My impression of wipe on wipe off sealants is they don't last long at all. I received a wipe on wipe off sealant sample with some nanoskin products and it looks great when applied to a clean car but didn't last...

Sealant that lasts and shines like Duragloss 111 but removes easier?

I have been using Duragloss products for years and have been very happy but with all the new stuff out now I thought it would be great if I could find a sealant that I could apply with my GG6 that would last and shine like the Duragloss but be easier to remove and not leave residue in the cracks...
