Thank you all for the feedback. I am looking at my options. If the dealer does not budge I would have to try removing them myself, and then apply a protective coating like the ones mentioned here.
This is from my 2011 BMW. The headlights have these "mini cracks" all over. Will a headlight restoration kit address this? Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
I use a steamer on both leather (BMW Alcantara) and Vinyl (MB Tex) wrap a terry towel on the brush attachment of my steamer. Spray the surface with Meguiar's APC and steam it.
I follow up with a leather conditioner. Never had a problem.
Seems to be the way to go. From what I've been able to research online it should require a heat gun and some pulling. If any glue is left over I can use Meguiars body solvent to remove. (At least that is my plan)
Thanks for the replies. Not sure if their is a useful life on paint protection film, but that is where my idea of removing it came from(its 15 years old). I will start working from the back forward on the car, that way I can still think about it.
