no, I take it I need to ? it came with the backing plate attached so away I went.... do I need to strip it down and put a little bit of grease in or lots of grease ? I hope I havent damaged anything Will wd40 be OK ??

I think I was a bit to enthusiastic with my flex 3041 VRG and melted my backing plate :buffing: my pads now wont stick, velcro hooks are no more, I stick with the standard backing plate or are there other options ? I am using 6" pads lake country pads Is it common that the flex gets hot ??
