Thank you. Both responses thus far are very helpful. I can try to get some pics. The color is very dark grey. I don't have the code. I figured it was too deep for me to mess with without making it a million times worse. Touch up paint might be the way to go but dang this b*tch was p*ssed...
I have an opportunity to buy a 2006 BMW 3 series with pretty nasty key scratches in 3 spots (only a verrrrrrrry angry ex wife or GF could have done this!).
I have a couple of questions based on my limited experience with scratch removal. I do own a dewalt rotary buffer that I have had...
ok cool. yeah I did not do any trim or bumpers. Strickly panel paint so hopefully the 5cc (or so) gave me enough to have not wasted my money since I can't just reapply now (assuming it really won't stick).
Do you guys still wax your vehicles after OC 2.0?
How do I know if I have "enough" product on the vehicle? I prepped the heck out of my truck and was ready to go. I found the applicator pad difficult to work with. I went panel by panel on my Frontier. When I was done, I had only used about 5cc and I used more than a "few drops" each time I...
Thank you Evan. Good stuff. I would absolutely break out the buffers and do as much correction as possible before sealing. I guess I will keep the Megs water spot remover around.
Greetings!
I do like to wax my car but I would prefer the protection that seems to accompany opti coat 2.0. I would like to know if Opti coat eliminates water spots/stains? Both my vehicles are black. Also, does it keep wheels clean? Or at least allow you to simply spray off the brake dust...
320 wet sand will strip it with some elbow grease. I followed up with 600, 1500 and 2000. Regular Mothers mag polish and finish it with Billet polish and a coat of Mother's synthetic wax. They look puuuuuuuuurty ;)
I made the mistake of putting the "summer" tires/wheels on my car before the last snow. The salt chewed up the clearcoat on my nice wheels. I stripped the CC off and want to polish them nice and shiny. I have a few jars of Mothers billet polish and a mini powerball. Ok so far......my...
ok, so I am not crazy. I was trying to think of a good reason as to why step one is always "apply to cool vehicle". I don't have much shade at my house so I have always waxed in the sun. I never had a problem but I figured if it was a no-no, you guys would know why.
There are a couple products but I haven't found one that works permanantly yet so I too, will await some advice from the experts on the forum. However, if you get some Mother's "Back to Black" and rub it in real good, it should remove those spots. Good Luck!
