    Tough cars to keep clean!

I hear ya, Walt!! I bought a 2009 Ford Flex in Dark Ink Mettalic Blue, and people swear it is really black! This car is a dirt magnet. I did a full clay, polish, wax on it last Saturday and it was already looking poor again by Sunday evening after driving it around town. I really love the...

    501/105/AW review

I am assuming that you guys that let it cure overnight are just parking it in the garage and doing the second coat forst thing in the morning? We have no garage at home, and I can't leave my vehicle in the warehouse at work overnight, so that isn't a good option for me, I guess...

    501/105/AW review

I tried to get all the stuff together yesterday afternoon, and CarQuest didn't have the 601...next time I will plan better!! I don't have a machine, so I am doing the whole thing by hand.... Man, are my arms getting a workout!!!

    501/105/AW review

I am in the process of doing this now. Washed the vehicle, used a leaf blower to mostly dry it, then finished up with a mf cloth. Moved the vehicle into the warehouse (thank God for the ability to do this at work in the AC!) and did the clay process. I just added the DG 501 and I am waiting...

Doing a first time detail on a new Ford Flex...

Ok, now you have me a little confused... Do I need to do the 501 Pre-cleaner, then the 601 bonding agent, followed by the 105? Again, I do they clay before ALL of these steps, right??

Doing a first time detail on a new Ford Flex...

Ok, so I use the 905 shampoo to wash Next I do the clay process? Then do the 501 pre-cleaner, followed by the 105 sealant. Finish up with Aqua Wax. Do I have my steps right? I appreciate all the input!

Can you explain the "combo" thing? I got the 2 buckets, the grit guard and a couple of microfiber towels. I also have a sheep wool mitt. Thanks!

Doing a first time detail on a new Ford Flex...

Thanks Greg! I will have to do a little more research on claying, as I had never heard of it until I joined this forum, and don't want to screw up the car trying something I am unfamiliar with!

    Hello from Tampa Bay!

Never heard of the leaf blower trick, but it certainly sounds like it would work!! On our old car, the wife just took it to the car wash every couple of weeks - but I want to try and keep this one looking good for much longer...there are a lot of payments to make!! :)

Doing a first time detail on a new Ford Flex...

First off, I have to tell you guys right up front that I am new to all this detailing stuff, but we just got this new car and I want to do my best to keep it looking great! It is a 2009 Ford Flex with Dark Ink Blue Metallic paint. I would like to make the color "pop" but also have good...

    Hello from Tampa Bay!

New to the forums and new to trying to keep a car nicely detailed...and it seems like I have a lot to learn!!! We just bought an '09 Ford Flex, which is by far the nicest (and most expensive) car I have ever owned. I don't have hours and hours to spend on it, but I want to keep it looking...
