Try any Billett aluminum cleaner. It has to say billett. I used aluminum cleaner on my catch can from water etching and it was a no go. I brought some Mother's Billett aluminum cleaner and it looks brand new.
Mike...This forum has saved me twice now. The time my wife dropped a rake down her Mustang, and watching the videos, I learned how to use my walt's buffer and the scratches dissapeared. Now when I thought my $160.00 catch can and ABS cover was etched forever, presto all cleaned due to this...
Here are the before and after pictures of my catch can. It turns out that I needed Aluminun Billet cleaner like you guys suggested in my previous post not aluminum (wheel) cleaner. Turned out perfect!!!

It was Mother's Billet Aluminum cleaner. Expensive but...
I tried an apc with no luck.
I tried wheel and mag cleaner with no luck.
I used a buffing wheel on a dremel with no luck.
I am now buying some of the recommended metal polishing compounds and try to hand buff it out.
Thanks everyone for your help.
I hope someone can help me out. The following pictures are of my catch can and abs brake module cover. I have done everything I can think of to get rid of the watermarks and nothing has worked.
polish
I will try to shake them up tonight when I get home. They have been in the house now for 24hrs. Our house is always set at 70 degrees because I can't stand the heat.
We brought all of the tools (Dewalt rotary), pads, and everthing else inside. My wife was so nice she gave up cabinet...
I did bring them inside the house but I think there cooked. I am going to buy new ones and take the advice of the other post, and keep them in the house. This summer has been brutal and we had a lot of solutions go bad.
thanks
The last few days my garage tempature exceeded 100 degrees and it seems like my xmt 1 2 3 4 polish lost it's viscosity. They are about a year old so I don't know if it was the heat or are they just old. I only do 2 cars so they sit on the shelf. How long should they last. There almost like water.

I did and it was only $50.00 to do it. It was the best investment we ever made. My wife uses the pressure washer now on the deck and driveway patio and I can wash the cars and tractor with no water spots. The plummer said it is an easy job.
I did a search to find out if anyone else did this but there wasn't one. This may sound crazy but I buffed dry liquid soveran wax off with a lake county red pad using a Dewalt 849 buffer and it came out amazing. To prove to myself that I didn't take the wax off I put water on it and it beaded up...
I am attempting for the first time to detail my engine bay on a 2006 gto. I keep reading about APC but I don't understand what this is, where do you buy it, and it seems to be mixed in with certain products.
Any advice would be helpful and thanks in advance.
