Those were some VERY healthy paint thickness readings. Was this factory original paint or had some/all been repainted? End result looks good.

Take it back to the dealer. Definitely looks like something was spilt onto, or wiped onto those areas which should not have been.

Looks like it should be a nice tool. Rupes is great quality and has some decent customer service here in Australia. I've had a Rupes rotary polisher for years and it's performed faultlessly. Can't wait to add a Rupes DA or two to the family.
