what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

That's not exactly right. Not to lecture...but Autopia.org was extant from 1999, I believe, I joined there in 2004. It was owned by David Bynon, who ran the affiliated Autopia Car Care web store. Todd Helme was one of the early picture-heavy thread posters, (this was way back when he had a...

It's supposed to be 99F here Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, bracketed by 91 tomorrow, and 95 on Wednesday.

what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

I was curious so I looked this up, the ADS clear buckets are 4.5 gallons, and are $24 each. They have markings in quarts and liters, and have no bail handle, only two hand grips on the side. It seems to be this...

what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

Seriously though, Autofiber has some nice translucent buckets with gallon markings on them, I got a 3.5 gal, it's 10 bucks now, they also have a 5 gallon for $13. I guess not as cool as clear, though :p

What did you do today non-detailing related?

That thing is great, but Torx screws? Your birds must live in a bad neighborhood if they have to worry about someone unscrewing their front door. Or are you just an ex-GM guy and you're worried about cam out?

    humbling humidity

It's been 108 in Memphis? And you use your proprietary coating, maybe that's your secret.

He said in the comments (when he closed them) that his concerns had been addressed, so I guess...yes.

what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

This is like razors...when everything was two blades...then Gillette came out with 3, and Schick just decided F it, we'll go to 4, and so Gillette jumped to 5. I'm surprised nobody went to 6 yet. Maybe there will be a Pan razor with 7 blades.

Detailing lesson to be learned here?

Oh come on Eldo, that tire still has some tread left...sort of. I think that's the first Thai tire I've ever seen.

    Decon wash? Help a newbie

They make kits, not that I'm recommending this one but there are others: https://www.harborfreight.com/double-garage-magnetic-screen-door-58509.html?gStoreCode=395&gQT=1 I didn't read that thread closely enough to see if Richy built his from scratch or with a kit.

    Decon wash? Help a newbie

Chilly, do you remember the garage netting that Richy had, to keep the mosquitos out? It's a thing, I can't remember where he got it, IIRC it had magnetic closures. Wait, I found the thread, unfortunately the pictures don't work anymore and I'm not sure the link he posted points to the right...

First time using Rotary, not good

I think that's an old wive's tale. Sure some heat is ok (a black car in the sun is going to get...over 150F....I think a member put his IR thermometer on his car not long ago), but too hot is bad.

Best glass cleaner for interior windshield?

I also keep my glass towels separate from everything else and wash them separately. Nothing worse than microfiber lint on glass, whether it's home or automotive.

what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

Yeah, but ADS has their own store and their own fulfillment, if you order an ADS product from THOR, I don't see how any fulfillment issues get blamed on ADS.

Best glass cleaner for interior windshield?

Chilly, I have never used Invisible Glass in any form, I didn't realize (or have forgotten if I knew) that they made a trigger-spray version in addition to the aerosol can. Also, Nextzett is making that glass cleaner, it should be the same as they were given the formulas (IIRC) when 1Z closed...
