So I was wondering what some of your methods were? I have read about dawn and degreaser soaps being used to strip. I have also read that nothing can strip modern paint sealents. When do you reapply wax/sealent and how do you go about doing so? What are your processes in order, what do you use...
Yup I told her to just buy a cover for now. But the exterior probably took me about 3.5 hours. I should have done a compound then polish but didn't have enough time for a two step correction. Love collinite 845 because it is easy to use, looks good, and seems to be lasting very long.
Only thing was a drill used on the headlights with the wool attachment. Other than that it was done by hand and yes my arms were burnt out. But in the end it was worth the experience.
Thank you. This is one of my first full details besides my own vehicle. It was fun but a bit challenging. Wish I had a da polisher but for now this was all by hand.
So my wife's cousin had her head gasket recently replaced. It sat under a tree collecting twigs and dirt in the process. While over for the 4th we discussed how her car needed to be detailed bad. I offered to help her by detailing her car for free.
My process was
Wash-cg glossworkz

There is a small scuff mark on the front bumber right under the light. Other one of the bumper is waxed pre buffed with scuff taken out buy ultimate polish. The side of the car shows the wax hazing. It was pulled into my garage the get it out of the sun. The 845 wax was easy to apply and easy to...

Wash-CG glossworkz soap
Rims-meguiars hot rims cleaner
Dry-microfiber towels
Clay-meguiars Clay kit
Polish-meguiars ultimate polish
Wax-collinite #845
Tires-meguiars hot shine aresol
These are a few update pics in the process of finishing. So I am doing this...
Going to check out this welding/paint supply store here in town. The body shop I worked at used to buy 3m products there. If not I'll pick up the meguiars kit. For consumer stuff I have actually been quite happy with meguiars.
Yeah I do I'll have to pick up some clay. Wish I would have just ordered some. So I'll wash, dry, clay, sealent, than wax. Used my opti clean waterless wash for a few spots today. Worked really well and left a nice shine behind.
Finally got my stuff in the mail. Used the glossworks soap yesterday and love it. Leaves a nice shine to the paint. The pinnacle bug and tar sponge works really well. Next week I'll throw on the sealent and then wax after it cures.
It was 99 dollars and is 6hp,14 gallons, 163cfm, and 50" waterlift. Comes with 80 dollars worth of accessories. Plus it has a organizer that clips on. It allows you to be able to store all attachments on the vacuum.
