Looking to retire my 7424 to spot detailing only and buy a new buffer. I have been looking at the Griots G9 and G15, also looking at the Adams 15mm LT, Rupes, plus others. I use it maybe once a month and I would consider my skills as a 7/10. So what do you recommend?

If I use a clay mitt on the car to remove the contaminants, is polishing necessary? Can I use the clay mitt and go right to SiO2? Car has almost zero swirl marks now.

Purchased the car used so unsure how and when this happened. The instrument plastic appears to be crazed/clouded, hard to tell. Can't tell if its inside or outside. Any idea on what I can use to get it out? It really annoys me. Thanks.
