Elk the clear is clear it has no color so don't try to get the color out it may be a stain or discoloration that's in the paint, by the time you find out you'll be through the clear.
I am using microfiber towels from auto geek. Its not from the towels. I notice it takes a lot more to scratch the paint before fixing the paint than after. On both paints they were black and also heavy scratch removal was done. I did not go through the clear. Has anyone else noticed this...
I know that the clear is softer under the top layer. So my question is when you buff that layer off does the outside layer then take time to harden? I noticed that newly polished factory paint scratches easy. I know that other body repair clears don't do this. I did a brand new hyundai...
That will be a goo opportunity to really buff. I have a friend who paints and I occasionally buff out the clear for him. So if your uncle leaves the paint as is painted and cleared, then buffing it will be fine. Not to many painters like that step and I don't know why? You will have to treat...
That is the same as the dewalt the only difference is the name. Dewalt is the premium brand for black and decker and that must have been made before Dewalt started. If you put it on speed 1 that should be 1500 rpm. Look up on the net to see if you can find more info, I have one similar but I...
Better yet if the paint is only a week old and the person who painted it did a good job I would not try to buff it that does not make sense???? Only buff what needs to be buffed. Are you tryin to fix something the painter did?
when it gets painted they have to buff it to smooth out any defects on the paint, make sure if you use anything it is body shop safe and it shouldn't harm anything.
Elk or anyone else that can answer this question. How much time would you save on average by cleaning with optimum or similar v.s. traditional washing?
I have used extractor's and scrub brush with a vacuum. While both work I feel the extractor works the best. Also you not beating the dirt down into the mat and then trying to get it back out. Your only extracting it. I have a hot rod spotter made by aztec. Auto geek carries these and they...
Can you use on a fairly dirty car? (Example after a snow storm) Or is this just after a few sunny days and you want to clean up the paint again? I'm trying to figure out if this would be economical for detailing dealerships at my location where everything would be accessible. I have used...
Very impressed with this multi-use tool. I've used mine in the engine bay and wheels. My wife has an ss trailblazer and i first used it to clean the inside of the wheels, it worked great and best of all I didn't cut my hand on the calipers trying to get a mitt in there!!! I'm planning on...
Orion, I would suggest getting the Hot One fixed electrical heater. I've had mine for two years now and haven't looked back since. It heats to 13,500 btu and you can direction it towards the floor so you can heat up the whole car. I run mine most of the winter. It raises the electric bill...
