I did this and thought I had it licked...but again, with the white paint it is sooooo hard to see the swirl marks. I know I got many of them out, but under certain angles with the light just right, you can still see faint swirl marks... Is it even worth it at this point to try to remove them...

Hi all, Just got done detailing my white 2012 Porsche 911 with a Porter Cable, Menzerna FG400 x 2 (orange pad) and then used Menzerna SF4500 (white pad)... There are still some swirl marks after all that. Is this because I need a more powerful tool ( Flex 3401), lousy technique, not enough...

I did all the steps you mention...the car looks great!... But realized after seeing it in bright sunlight and at a gas station at night, that there are fine scratches still left in the clear coat. I believe I need to use a citrus degreaser to remove the sealant and wax before I would start over...

Please tell me the difference between compounding and polishing??? Aren't they the same, just compounding is using more abrasive liquid and pads? Thanks!
