If you use liquid polish like Optimum Hyper Polish do you still need to tape the trims? Should you also tape off chrome trims or only plastic trims? What are other areas you tape off?

I was told there are a lot more uses than just head lights for Opti-Lens. You can use it for things like tail lights, fog lights, side mirror lights and any plastic trims on your car that you want to UV protect and coat.

I was wondering this same thing except I wanted to put Opti-Coat over the headlights after the Opti-Lens to help protect it even more. I was told by Chris Thomas at optimumforums.com that Opti-Lens is modified version of Opti-Coat so there is no need to do anything more.

Can you confirm if Optimum hyper polish is water based? It looks like it is liquid form that you spray on the pad.

I'll try crimson hydro pad and hyper finish to start. Thanks.
