I wash everything together. Engine, grease, heavy brake dust towels go in the trash. For really dirty towels that I want to save, I put them into a bucket with APC, 303 Fabric cleaner, or Griot's foam and pad cleaner to pre-soak while I finish up. I rinse them off a bit to get the loose stuff...

Put it in perspective. If lots of guys are not using mf specific detergents and are getting clean, non-marring towels that work as they're supposed to, why wouldn't it be sufficient? If I find something that works, I go with it.

I'm of the opinion that as far as waxes go, any quality wax will look as good as the next. There are other considerations like ease of use, buffing off, drying time, smell, longevity, etc., but in terms of pure looks, 95% of it is in the paint prep, not the lsp.

Wow, amazing job on that glass! I cant imagine spending 4 hours on glass alone. Sheesh.

^^this pretty much sums it up! I had one of those "absorber" and all types of leather chamois once upon a time. And then I discovered microfiber ww towels.

I wouldn't mind writing a review for both products. I have some stubborn oxidation that I need to hit with a compound, and am interested in seeing what the AIO can do to a daily driver.

Just use a light polishing (white) or fine finishing pad (blue or black) with an AIO and you should be fine.

Stop by an auto parts store and pick up some plastic polish. Put it on a foam pad and go to town- after you've done a test spot, that is.
