Just bought a New Hitachi SP18VA buffer

I found these specs. It seems the VAH is simply a revised version of the VA. Not sure what's different though. Manufacturer Hitachi Model SP18VAH Item Condition New Shipping Weight (Pounds) 10.0000 Grinder Type Polisher Wheel Diameter 7-inch Powered By AC Power Power Used (Amps) 11...

    Agreed!

    My Iron-X review!

According to the manufacturer, it will strip wax to some extent but not sealant. At any rate if it didn't strip the wax then it also didn't remove any iron that would be imbedded in the paint. To each his own...

    My Iron-X review!

The iron particles would've been under the layer of 845. To remove the iron, it would have to remove the 845. Make sense?

    Wow! P21S Polishing Soap

Head over to your local Harley dealer and grab some and keep some the change! I've been using the soap for years. It works on titanium as well.

Anyon use Optimum cutting disc with D300?

If the Meg's pad cuts AND finishes better then it's a no brained even if they are less durable.

Anyon use Optimum cutting disc with D300?

Well, I guess I'd have to try them with other products to see if I find something that they're compatible with.

Anyon use Optimum cutting disc with D300?

Yes sir. Now I need to see if it actually cuts better. If it does then I'll take the haze. If not then i don't really have a purpose for them.

In most cases I get little to no hazing with the Meg's pads. Another try with the Opt pads on white gave the same results. Same speed, same product, same machine and same panel.

    My Iron-X review!

Nice review but I promise it removes wax. Sealants not so much but wax...

Anyon use Optimum cutting disc with D300?

This was my first time using the Opt pads. I didn't really test them to see which cut better. I could've one stepped the car with the Meg's pad and it would've been close enough for what was desired. The Opt disc wouldn't have allowed this. I used a 9006 to remove the haze.

Anyon use Optimum cutting disc with D300?

Cuts decently but did leave more hazing than the Meg's cutting disc. Cleaned up easily with a polishing pad and FPII. This was using a PCXP on a black SL Mercedes.

    Wetsanding advice needed

I'll agree with Mike. Sanding and buffing that area will likely end with bad results.

    Was my post deleted?

There's surely value in it and I look forward to seeing it back in the public forum area.
