car care products that contain silicone - Good/Bad/indifferent?

Thanks guys I found a article in the search bar that mike wrote up about it. Sounds like silicone is not the issue, but other things cause issues, which normally get blamed on the silicone Good to know!!

Ok so there is a company local to me that sells body shop and detailing supplies. Ive used them in the past for car wash soap and tire shine. They carry alot of different things Anyway, long story short. They have a soap and tire shine that i like, its priced pretty reasonable. Both contain...

how much would you charge???? just curious

i understand, and thats why i have in the past just turned them down. They are going to go to the local car wash and spend 15ish dollars there, washed like crap, dried like crap, no interior clean At some point they are going to pay some money. I can either do it for them or they can run it...

how much would you charge???? just curious

thanks for the input. The thing i have trouble with is stuff like gas in the pressure washer. Yes it doesnt take alot of fuel, but it does take some. Same with soap. It doest take much to wash a car or truck, but after a while it adds up I feel like if my labor is free, then i should be...

how much would you charge???? just curious

Im not a professional detailer by any means. I guess you would call me a weekend warrior or garage enthusiast. I like to wash cars. I like to keep them clean and looking nice I get asked alot if i would be willing to clean up cars for family, friends, neighbors etc I usually turn them down, i...

    Wheel well/undercarriage cleaner?

what i usually do is use the pressure washer to blast the junk out and dirt out of there. If it needs to be cleaned i like to use meguires non acid wheel cleaner. Give it a quick spray, let it soak, old microfiber to scrub it, rinse to make it look shiny i just give it a couple sprays of...

    Wheel & tire cleaner recommendation?

i bought meguires non acid wheel cleaner, it works great. I dilute to 2:1 and spray it on a wet wheel for a standard cleaning. I let it sit for a few minutes and use a old microfiber towel to gently scrub any stubborn spots. Dirt and brake dust come right off When im all done i hit my rims with...

What spray wax do you guys use?

D156 for me. I use it after every wash as a drying aid. Great shine, very slick and make water bead very well. The smell is intoxicating, and the price is great for a gallon. Im very happy with it, I cant imagine not using it anymore!

    "sprayable" tire shine/dressing

no sorry. What i meant was put it in a bottle with a sprayer. I meant "sprayable" in the sense that it can be sprayed or misted on the tires over putting it on a applicator and wiping it on (like a gel or VRP) Having mud terrain tires on my truck with deep grooves on the side wall, hard to...

    "sprayable" tire shine/dressing

Well guys its time for me to get another gallon of tire shine. Wondering what you guys suggest for a "sprayable" tire shine. Just so you know, i like to be able to spray it on as i have mud tires on my truck with deep grooves so its hard to apply a product like VRP (which i have) I use a...
