Buy one of each type that you are thinking of using and make your decision based on your own application. The fluorescent lamps come in different wattage's 28 and 32 The big difference is the color. You have to look at the K number on the lamp, it is the Kelvin number of the output of the lamp...

You will need to put it on as thin as you can. If you put it on to heavy it becomes very hard to remove, the thinner the better. A can will last forever... Old school guys say it will look better after your first wash. I have seen people apply it to a whole car before removing it with good results

Poorboys Pro Polish has worked for me on the windshield with very good results. I would think Glass Polish would be more abrasive than a polish.
