    Call me crazy, but I spray on the tire shine then clean/polish the wheel faces. It also gives the dressing time to set/dry while I clean the wheels and move on to Waxing or windows or whatever is next.

    So I followed most everyone's advice and ordered the 5.5" vented backing plate and pads. I'm going to hold off on the 3" bp and pads for now.     Had the Camaro since 05, been a project since 2008- strokes motor and all the goodies, it's my weekend/fun car, daily drive the Ram rebel, hayabusa is my street strip bike, and the wife daily drives the civic. It's nice having the toys paid for. The daily swill be ours in 2-3 yrs.

    So the 3" pads/backing plate will work on the larger unit? So it might be a more economical way to just order the GG6 with backing plates than both machines? If so I like that idea and it would allow me get more pads/liquids than with that kit (assuming). I might consider the boss pads later...
