2 coats is ideal. Incase you missed a spot, but I'd expect 2 coats by anyone who wants a top notch job. As for quantity, less than pea sized dots. I do all mine by hand, so I just invert the bottle tightly on the applicator. I then dab over the panel and spread.

Use it very sparingly. I do the whole car, 2 coats, with about 1" of the bottle. Warm it in a bucket of hot tap water and shake the be-jebus out of it before hand. It's sooo easy to work with and lasts from when I pull the car out in May till it gets parked in Nov. I only recoat the hood...
10yr old...that's why. I have a 99 mazda protege and parts are peanuts. I also have an 06 mazdaspeed6, most parts shared with the regular mazda6 are cheap, awd and trim specific parts are expensive. Try a hyundai santa fe...POS car and oem parts are a ripoff.

My dad once had a 1 ton dodge van with slant 6, 3 on the tree and 4 drum brakes as a company vehicle. I don't recall him saying anything good about that setup lol.

6 speed in my summer vehicle, 5 speed in my winter vehicle and 13 in my work vehicle. Gotta pay attention, sometimes I forget which one I'm in. Wife's suv is auto, I drive it occasionally and get caught going for the ghost shifter/clutch!

Are you referring to the black streaks going down the side? That's contaminants on the water as it runs down. I don't cover mine and i get the same problem. Use pledge to remove it. I'm not joking, it comes right off. This year I plan to collonite mine to see if that will slow the build up...
I go by what I bought this year, followed by last year's purchase and then the previous and so on. Newest ones used for best jobs, old for rims, exhaust tips etc
Same for wash mitts

@dave ...How long did it take to build that up?
I get some on my car, but just the odd dot here or there. Usually notice it most when I clay every spring before bringing the car out. Clay bar does remove it.
I always thought it was sap or something kicked up off the road.
