Let’s say I went with the essence plus. Do I approach it the same as a normal polish as far as prep goes? Wash decon etc. I imagine claying would take a coating off too.
Hey mike,
Are there any product that could help remove swirls out of a ceramic coating? I think I was using contaminated MF’s and ended up putting some swirls in the coat. They are very minor but they are there and kinda bugs me.
I have carpro essence plus but from what I hear that has no...
awesome! Well I think awesome anytime I hear soft paint I cringe. Probably from the years spent on a ship painting. Good to know it’s relatively easy to correct.
her car doesn’t have Too much to be corrected I just wanted to make the flakes in the paint pop a little more for her.

Mike you are beyond helpful. Everyone is helpful here. I really appreciate the time you take out to reply.
With that being said. I’m going to try 3D speed out and then seal with power lock plus. Once that wears out a ceramic coating will probably be the next step. Thank you again!
Thanks for the replies!
I’m probably going to test with Perfect Finish and see how it looks. If it leaves any micro marring or anything visible I’ll probably bite the bullet and purchase a ultra fine polish.
Mike spoke about you in the video I watched. You did the whole thing by hand?!?! Big props to that.
I was gonna ceramic coat it but I haven’t done one yet. I purchased new wheels for my car and some causers dlux and figured first time should be on my own stuff.
Please do what you need. I’m pretty new here still haven’t learned all the etiquette.
I also have products like 3D one,3D speed, megs ultimate polish, Sonax cut and finish. Would any of these be a less harsh approach?
I was going to use 3D speed but the idea of a filler really turned me off to...

Now I have done a few cars and a boat and I’m kinda just starting my path as a detailer.
My POA...
I have a boat I’m doing next week. It’s in good shape no crazy oxidation. I wanna get some pop out of the gel coat. My plan of attack was going to be a foamed wool purple pad from LC w/ Meguiars cleaner wax on my shurhold 3500 DA. Am I aiming in the right direction or should I change something’s...
It’s a 2016 Ford Fusion titanium. At this point I was just thinking about scuffing, priming and painting the trim. I found the new trim pieces online for $20 so I could always go back to the OEM style if need be.
This process would apply the same to the plastic chrome trim on the exterior? Use...
ahhhh figured it out. so that is a photo of the trim with a wet mark on it to show that it goes away when wet. but as it dries it looks like the surrounding area. would ultimate polish be equal to those you listed?
