    Autogeek Day Trip

Field trips like this are awesome - thank you for sharing! My favorite work-related field trip was two years ago when I got to tour Pittsburgh's North Shore Connector subway tunnel as it was being built. They had just completed the inbound tunnel and were in the process of turning the boring...

    What are you all watching?

I watch mostly educational stuff, as well as sports. The only show that I really follow every week is Mad Men. I also watch every F1 race (practice, qualifying and race) on SpeedTV.

Your Favorite Autogeek Products - Plus Another Weekend Giveaway!

Wow...so many to choose from and almost too many to list, but my favorites are Souveran paste and liquid wax, DP interior cleaner, and XMT360.

Audi S4 - New Car Prep

Definitely this. Stasis does good work and it's well worth the money. I'm a VW guy, but I have several friends with S4s from various years (B5, B6 and B7 chassis) and I can attest that they are awesome cars. You mentioned tracking the car. Are you an ACNA member? Where are you tracking it?

    8 hours of polishing and...

I have found that of anything I've used, Menzerna Power Finish with an orange LC CCS pad will get swirls out of my Jetta's paint. Follow it with Micro Polish and you're golden. VW clear swirls very easily, yet it's very difficult to get them out. The Menz combo has been my best solution to date.

    Liquid Glass Legend

I can attest to the reduction of drag. Here are some before and after pics, albeit taken from different angles, but I think it shows the amazing transformation. BEFORE: AFTER: :xyxthumbs:

    New Tires

I've heard those tires aren't the best in heavy rain, but they are sticky as heck in the dry. For wet performance, I recommend either the Toyo Proxes T1-R (replaced the T1-S) or the Hankook Ventus Evo V12. Both are excellent in heavy rain (I've used both at rainy track days), they are quiet...

    Rain

Seriously! I live 5 miles north of Downtown Pittsburgh and I had 36" of snow in my front yard for most of February. The roads have been white with salt since November.

Can you Believe this is a Hyundai

I had never even thought twice about Hyundai until I got one as a rental car two years ago. I was very surprised by it. For a company that used to be made fun of in the early-90s, they've come a *long* way, especially in the last few years.

Tell everyone one of your best detailing secrets!

I typically use Barkeeper's Friend to clean exhaust pipes. It's amazing on stainless steel, but also works well on any metal surface. As always, do a small test area when using it for the first time, but I have never had any issues. And Mike: It looks to me like you *do* have a pantry full...

    March 1, 2007

That is truly unbelievable. I've been sitting in my office looking at those pictures in amazement. Thank you for sharing your story with us. As someone else said, it really helps personalize something that we otherwise would have only seen on the news.
