    Coating Degradation Question

Same coating. For the purposes of this discussion, let's assume that both vehicles receive the same maintenance practices.

    Coating Degradation Question

I have a question about coating degradation. Let's assume these two scenarios: Vehicle A has been coated for 1 year. It gets parked indoors and has been properly hand washed 25-30 times. It has also been driven for 15K miles during this 1-yr period. Vehicle B has been coated for 2 years...

The Shiniest Blue Car in the Slow Lane!

;) 2019 Prius Prime Plus. The owner requested for the vehicle to be protected against rock chips. During the same visit, he also wanted the paint to be corrected and ceramic coated for easier maintenance. Products used: Optimum Ferrex TLD’s Last Cut Compound Glaze Optimum Hyper Polish CarPro...

Besides the Rupes compounds/polishes, which products does everyone like to use with their Rupes polishing wool pads?

P&S/Renny Doyle Double Black Interior Products (Terminator, Carpet Bomber, Finisher) - Feedback?

Interesting. I wonder if the dark spots are leftover from the stains. Did you try pre-treating the dark spots with their Terminator product or something similar?

P&S/Renny Doyle Double Black Interior Products (Terminator, Carpet Bomber, Finisher) - Feedback?

I recently ran out of Optimum Carpet Cleaner & Protector and wanted to try something stronger this time. After doing some research, I decided to order the Renny Double 3-part kit kit (Terminator, Carpet Bomber and Finisher). Does anyone have experience with this line-up? Thanks.

2015 Avalon - 2-Step Correction, CarPro Essence and CQuartz TiO2

Thanks! The trim was not worked on. Tires saw CarPro PERL at full strength. The most recent revision of Classic contains TiO2. I believe the new name for the product is CQuartz TiO2.

2015 Avalon - 2-Step Correction, CarPro Essence and CQuartz TiO2

The owner of this 2015 Avalon has seen my work on a few other vehicles and requested for his car to be corrected and "coated." He was quite impressed by the dirt-repelling capabilities from CQuartz UK on my girlfriend's car, so he specifically requested for a similar product to be used on his...

    Should I go Gloss Coat?

A conversation with Dr. G or an optimum rep will confirm what I posted above. IPA wipedown is not necessary when optimum polishes are used for the correction process. But when other brand polishes are used, then the optimum paint prep product or IPA should be used.

    Should I go Gloss Coat?

Use Carpro's block and suede applicator. Or Optimum's version of it. No need for IPA. Polish using Hyper Polish or Primer Polish, then do a wipedown using ONR blue at normal wash diction.

Which "Non Pro" Coating offers the most for a small business?

I was told that GC was designed to compete with premium and pro-coatings from other brands; specifically, they were targeting coatings such as CQuartz Finest during the development of GC.

    What QD for maintaining Fuzion

Meguiars D115 - yes, it is a waterless wash, but when mixed at 5:1 it works incredibly well as a QD. I use it as a post-wash wipedown. D115 is super slick, wipes clean with no streaking (even in direct, 100F sun on dark paint) and smells great. I thought I would never buy a waterless wash...

My gallon of D115 comes today. I can't wait!

Blackfire Waterless Wash (new 1:48 formula) vs Meguiars D115

D114 doesn't say that it can be used for waterless, at least not according to the label.
