This show is stinks accept for the cars and trucks and the guy from RESCUE ME that show on fx keep him and bring over THE CREW FROM TOP GEAR UK FOR A FEW SHOWS.
the benz has base coat clear coat and i'am using rotary buffer i started with megs 105 and it was taking so long just to make a dent i had to switch to a heavier compound and now i just need to be real careful not to burn through clearcoat but seems to be working when i'am done with that stage...
detailing a 1982 tan metalic benz some strange scratchs on it never seen this before do not want to break through the clear but it is very hard to get them out when i compound and check the angles with light the look like they are gone but with another check in different direction they are still...
I agree with lasthope05 megs 105 really finishes nice if you know how to do it you don't have to use anything else but i can't give my secret away sorry
well not being able to see what the paint looks like so it is tough to tell you what to do however if you have spiderwebs and not swirl marks they are much tougher to get out. spiderwebs are the circular scratches that come from bad towels and wiping down a vehical that is not cleaned properly...
I agree with these posts megs 105 and megs 205 great for the problem areas where a buffing pad just will not fit I put some polish on my finger tips and and rub the imperfections right megs works great for this
i have never used an orbital to remove wet sanding marks only to apply wax seems to me that it will take a very long time using an orbital to remove any wet sanding marks also I have not tried sip is that a menzerna polish?
