    detailing gloves-what do you use???

I just pick up a box of nitrile gloves from Sam's Club. Tried the latex ones, but I like the non-latex ones better. Use them for clay bar, tire dressing, and engine cleaning.

    Covercraft sunshades

Got my Covercraft UVS100 from autobarn.com and love it! In fact, I bought 2 when I got my RX. I'm going to get another one for my new GS too. Along with ceramic tint, my cars never get hot, even in Hawaii. You get what you pay for, and this one is well worth it.

    Einszett Pro Polishes

I've been reading about this too. But, I haven't read any confirmation that it works on Ceramiclear. Anyone got a Benz I can borrow??? :p

    Einszett Pro Polishes

I've used the Intensive Paste on a heavily oxidated black single stage car and this thing worked wonders. Thinner than Menz SIP, very liquidy, gritty, and a long work time. Took a while to break down, which of course is a good thing. Overall, its a heavy duty compound and I would recommend...

    Soveran vs. MaxWax

That's interesting. I've been wanting to know the difference, if any, between these 2 as well. I have DP MW, but don't have PS yet. Would you guys recommend still getting the PS for darker colors if there is not a big difference?

Looks good. Is that color Diamond Graphite or Brilliant Silver?

Can someone talk me out of Zymol Vintage?

If you can tell the difference between Vintage and the cheaper ones, it might be worth it. I've tried Atlantique ($1100/8oz) and Titanium ($71/8oz) and there's such a subtle difference. Titanium does look very wet and glossy, Atlantique give it a little deeper and wetter look. But not $1k...

Pics Of The Xb With The New Lens

I've heard that is THE lens to have. My friend wants me to buy one so she can "use" it. I already have a 70-300 IS, but the f2.8 is probably a better bet. Your 70-200 is an L lens, right?

Detailers: What do you drive/your personal care schedule

Lexus RX400h, I usually give it a weekly wipedown with PB Spray & Wipe, then DG AW. I usually give it a conventional wash every other week or if it gets really dirty. Wax every time I get a new one :D. Interior gets a wipedown about every 2 weeks.

Got an IM from her last night, but didn't get to respond. You guys can catch her on AIM and MSN Messenger.

Festool RO 150 FEQ users beware, backing plate flew off for two owners

Yup, tension was just harder than expected. I'm just sharing my experience. Is yours securley fastened? BPs don't go flying off for no reason if they are secured properly. Mine wasn't, so it flew off. After properly securing it, I don't have any problems.

    Lexus GX470 (again)

I have an RX in blue and didn't really care for it, but its growing on me. That GX blue is very nice too!

Festool RO 150 FEQ users beware, backing plate flew off for two owners

Have either of you ever removed BP? This happened to me, but I found that the BP needs alot of force when replacing. After turning it into its place, you need to turn it even more until the release button actually clicks and resets itself. After my bp flying off about 4 times while doing a...

    6inch pads, do they exist?

What doesn't work for you doesn't mean it won't work for others. And yes, Festool is a DA, but no one said I used the 7.5" pads on orbital mode.
