Even with silver or white anything that touches your car can introduce swirls or micro marring. And pretty much every car has some swirling or micro marring unless you just polished (and even then we seldom get everything). The touchless car washes avoid the pitfall of things touching your car...

I used to hate white paint, but a few months ago I came across a low mileage 2007 G35 coupe that is a white pearl (Ivory Pearl in Infiniti speak). Now white, and especially white pearls, are really growing on me. When the sun or light hits it right and the flake pops the pearl is amazing.
