    The Tire Dressing Comparison Thread

Great information! I am still in love with Carpro Darkside but when the bottle runs out I may have to try of Ghost. Living in South Florida and daily thunderstorms in the summer I like something that will last a little while.

Are we still using WG Exterior Trim Sealant?

I still use it, about half out of my last bottle too.

24 Ford ranger raptor test drive.

I certainly, drove the ZR2 and Raptor back to back and the Raptor excels just about everywhere. I did like that the ZR2 offers a little nicer screen and gauge cluster customization. The performance of the Raptor is just a different animal and the sound it makes.....

    What’s your take on Amsoil?

I run Amsoil in the Harley since It seems to help with the ticky nature of the motors. I feel like the bike runs smoother. Also since I'm in South Florida and the heat is bad down here the extra protection form degrading is a bonus. I tried it in my cammed GTO and noticed no difference, since...

Pan the Organizer product line...let's discuss@

Glad I got a chance to see it last night. I just started to skip around every time he mentioned his products. It's a shame to see another one of these guys go down this road. It was hard to take him serious the last couple of years but this I think is the final nail in the coffin.

    Let’s talk tire dressings!

I love Carpro Darkside. Has that perfect slightly better then new tire sheen and last for a few weeks. I live on dirt road and I find the tires stay cleaner in the wet season, really seems to seal the tires for at least a month.

What's you detailing product that you keep around but don't really use

I honestly don't get the hype either. It's not bad but not life changing like so many make it out to be.

Need advice for chrome on '58 Corvette

I might get hung for saying this but...I like Chemical Guys Heavy Metal polish for chrome that is starting to show those small pit dots. Followed by Mothers Chrome Polish. If its good shape I just use the mothers. This is really the only Chemical Guys product that I have been happy with.

Not quite sure how to call this mess?

The MK7 Golfs had this issue, it was plastic and its almost like the layers were separating. If the MB is the same theres no fixing it would have to be replaced or possibly painted.

    Nissan Z Get's a renewal on life

There really are few cars that sound better then the 350Z and G35. Nissan really nailed the tone. 5

    Metal Polish Recommendations

I am a fan of the Chemical guys heavy metal polish. Its just about the only thing from them that I am impressed with.

    Rode hard...put away wet

Looks unbelievably good. Never ceases to amaze me how people let their cars get so bad. That thing looked more like a 15 year old 6 owner corolla.

    WG SiO2 Sealant

With the SiO2 it should offer a higher level of UV protection. Living in South Florida I notice that the SiO2 lasts longer then the older DGPS 3.0

    Incredibly Cheap Finds

Just scored some detailing chemicals from my local Pepboys. Guy said they are all clearing out the store front and will become a service/tire center only.
