Shopping for Next Car - Best Choices, Recommendations & Expereinces???

I'd go with a new Malibu -I've had my '09 since April and absolutely love it. Good styling, very comfortable interior, smooth/quiet ride and great MPG. An absolute gem of a car IMO. The available V6 gives you plenty of power if you're a performance junkie (would have gone with a 6, but I...

    Detail Challange

Agreed. Poli-Seal for me too! My go-to for my one step details. I would use your white pad in lieu of orange -PS is a very mild abrasive AIO and the white will give you a glossier finished product. Heavier marring won't be touched without doing a multi-step correction, even with using an...

what do you use for interior?

DP cleaner and DP protectant -good stuff all around. Leaves a nice finish behind without being oily. OP+ is also nice

    Glass Polish

:iagree: KAIO is a very good cleaner for windows. If you need a little kick, I've heard people use vinegar, apply with MF towel, and rub lightly with 0000 steel wool. Then follow up with a polish.

    First detail with new polisher

Great results man! And I definitely agree with your rotary assessment -it does make you be very aware, but the results it gives you when done right is awesome! Thanks for sharing

Almost out of OPII , need suggestions

If you want to try 205 before re-ordering anything, you can first see if someone would be willing to throw you a sample. I've heard/seen good things about 205, but I'm a Optimum/Menz kinda guy and still have a ton left of each, so I haven't used it yet.

Walked away from a Detail Job

:whs: I sadly have to agree -there is some good info amongst the whores/political crap, but its just sad the OP had to ruin his own thread.

    need some help on polishes.....

Menz can be finicky in sun/heat/humidity. I would suggest OPT or PB for sun usage, with OPT getting the nod from me due to low/no dust and longer workability. Both are better options than Menz for sun use IMO.

Walked away from a Detail Job

I have never, nor will I probably ever, walk away from a detail job. Reason being -pre-inspection. Before ANYTHING touches the car, I walk the vehicle with the owner and explain to him what can be done with the package he/she is willing to pay. If they accept, its in writing. If they want...

Griots Garage and Autogeek together in Car Care Harmony!

Just for fun I just ordered both car scents -I'm curious about both so we'll see how good they are...and I'm really skeptical about the new car scent -still haven't found one even remotely close.

    Heavy Duty Extension Cord?

Personally I use a 10 ga. contractor grade cord by Rigid. When mobile I sometimes have to span a long way, and having to worry about not only a polisher but a steamer & extractor I had to go heavy. Awesome cords though, and the price between 12 and 10 ga. wasn't all that big.
