Am I missing something? First car wash didn't go well...

Thanks everyone for the responses. I was feeling really lousy. Like jeez, if teenage cheerleaders in bikinis can wash a car, surely I, after my hours of research, should be able to successfully wash a car too! Ok...I can do that! That sounds like a good plan! I need to watch some videos on...

Am I missing something? First car wash didn't go well...

I did read that before washing my car. And after washing my car. But it doesn't go into any detail about the problems I encountered.

Am I missing something? First car wash didn't go well...

I'm new to the forum and new to car detailing. I have pretty much no experience whatsover! After trading in my first car, a beater, for a 2014 Chevy Sonic, I've been researching a lot about how to keep it looking good. Since we brought my car home I've done several hose-only rinses with my...

    Spider webbing in paint

I am new here and know very very little so take any of my thoughts with a grain of salt, but in order to prevent any more thinning to your clear coat could you use a glaze to fill in the spider webbing that is left?

Is this wash safe to use as my "in between" wash? Will it strip the spray wax and sealant? Or would this be a good wash for my "every six month" process but I'd need a different one for the "in between"?

I don't exactly understand all in one products. It doesn't make sense to me how you can combine the polish and seal/wax step. Polishes contain abrasives to remove contaminates and smooth out the surface of the paint...basically an exfoliater, right? So why would you want to seal all that stuff...

    Total Newbie Overwhelmed by Options!

I'm about 45 mins north of Harrisburg, PA. Because I'm so new at this I'm having trouble with abbreviations. I know DA refers to the dual action polisher. What is "LSP"? A DA polisher might be a future investment...maybe a good Christmas present! But at least for now I need products that are...

    Total Newbie Overwhelmed by Options!

Hello! I am new to the forum, and new to the world of auto detailing. I'm a female young adult from PA , and this past Saturday I traded in my first car, a 1996 Geo Prism with 239,000 miles for a 2014 Chevy Sonic LTZ Turbo Hatchback with 12,000 miles. I certainly feel like I've moved up in the...
