I can understand the frustration with FedEx... I live 'between' two FedEx hubs and service from them here is terrible. If they arrive by 8pm it's a miracle - even on Early AM stuff. I wish we had the option to select UPS. Even if it cost me more it'd be worth it to have their reliability and...
I had fantastic luck with Sonax EX 04-06 on an orange CCS pad in fixing my Enclave... That stuff ROCKS!
Their Polymer NetShield is also super-easy to work with.
I just went through this on my Buick that got swirled out by a local body shop following PDR. In my case Sonax EX 04-06 on an orange Lake Country CCS pad nuked them completely in one step. This was my first time trying to do anything like this and the Sonax stuff was SUPER-easy to work with...
Lol... McKee's 37 Hydro Blue.... Figured it would add substantial protection every couple washes with minimal effort....AND a detailing-on-the-go kit to keep in the back in the even someone (or some bird) decides to mess up all my hard work.
I'm working on signs for when it goes to the dealer...
Guys.... Thank you both. It means a lot.
At several points during the process I felt totally overwhelmed. However, I knew it was entirely up to me to get it right since I have no local professionals that do this type of thing other than the folks who caused the mess I was fixing. The...
An Update for anyone interested in hearing how this adventure turned out:

Used the product last week for the first time... One word of caution: Be careful not to get it on your rims if they are factory painted clear coated. I had some drip onto a rim and dry and spent a good half-hour claying to try and get it off.
When they say it's a permanent bond, they mean...
First of all, I want to thank the forum members here for their helpful advice and recommendations. I wouldn't have been able to accomplish what I did if it wasn't for you, Mike and his how-to videos/books and what I've learned from watching the show.
Now, some background info so you guys will...
Can totally sympathize... I had a brand new vehicle swirled after a local body shop did PDR repairs. How can a place be so good with paint and then make it look like crap???
I invested in the materials to 'i think' fix mine myself. However I want to get the rest of the way through Mike's...
I saw those... the Nano has a 1.25" and 2" backing plates. I realize the two inch would work but the smaller size would be a no-go - unless I'm missing something.
Recently purchased the nano and love it. However I'm not a huge fan of the cost or durability of the Rupes Nano pads. I've been trying to find what else is out there that works well with the Nano since I'm not using the Rupes polishes and full system.
For background, I use LC CCS (Orange...
Agreed.... expectations need to be appropriately managed. It was actually recommended to me by the bodyshop at my local GM dealership.
From what I've read and seen myself, the invisibility of repairs is highly dependent upon the color of the vehicle. Worst color to show is supposed to be...
Yes... it's a single stage touch up. In my experience with it, by using multiple coats, I can get near flawless repairs using it as recommended (i.e. Without clear or sanding) as long as I buff and polish over it about a week later. They do not recommend top coating it - I asked that question...
In using it on my vehicles it tends to go on 'thin' initially not fully hiding the chips. What I do is apply it today and go through the process then let it dry overnight. Then tomorrow repeat. Each time the chip is filled more and more. I continue this process until it's fully filled, flush...
100% agree... Doctor ColorChip rocks! Totally invisible repairs but may take a couple of back-to-back 'treatments' to fully level the surface. It's pretty much idiot-proof and when polished just disappears like the blemish never happened. Can't recommend them enough.
