Matchmaking: Carpet Cleaner to a Stain

Meguiar's two different fabric cleaners, Protein Stain Remover and Fiber Rinse & Tannin Stain Remover, give a good list of examples for what they each will clean. I find the Protein Stain Remover will work 75% of the time, thankfully, because it's much cheaper.

How to remove/strip Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax

I'll second the opinions above that an iron decon and clay following your Dawn dish detergent will leave you squeaky clean. I don't think HCW is a major factor to worry about.

Favorite beer, if not a beer drinker, favorite beverage in general.

Homebrewer here! Stouts and IPA's are my thing. Sierra Nevada has long been a favorite.

    G110V2 cord replacement tutorial w/photos

Pulling a thread from DEEP within the grave yard. Many thanks to Dave for this one. I've been using my G110 with zip ties holding the cord in just the right spot. Glad to have a fully functioning 50 footer, in green, back on my polisher for a change.

Tesla Model 3 / Window Cleaning Problems

So right up front, let me say I hate the door windows that retract into the door casing an inch or more when you open the doors. Secondly, the interior of the front windshield and moonroof/sunroof glass seem to be coated. Over the years, on many different cars, I've seen the mark left on...

    Help: Wrap Residue Removal

I agree that it's probably leftover adhesive. I've had good success with Turtle Wax Label & Sticker Remover and sometimes just plane ole Isopropyl alcohol. You definitely want to remove it with a chemical verses trying to polish it off. It'll gum up your pad terribly if you do find a product to...

    Meguiar's D166 Ultra Polishing Wax

I've used it on several different cars so far, all at my expense since I'm still in evaluation mode. But from the initial examples I've done, my plan is to offer a better finish on daily driven cars for a small upcharge. Most of the daily driven cars I do are given Meguiar's #20 Polymer Sealant...

    Recommendations on heavily oxidized paint

There are some instances when I just knew the paint surface was damaged beyond repair, only to be shocked at the outcome. This one was saved by Meguiar's D300.

RIDGID - 200 psi 4.5 Gal. Electric Quiet Compressor?

NOTHING compares to the low decibel levels on a California Air Tools compressor! If quiet is a major factor, you must add them to your consideration list. I have a 10 gal 2 hp model that puts out 5+ SCFM ... and love it. But it is probably a little large for your needs. They have smaller models...

Need some guidance on motorcycle paint scratch

I sounds like you made a "V" shaped scratch into a flattened "U" shape scratch. Which is a good thing. The trick is knowing when to accept well enough and leave it alone. Without paint depth gauge numbers to know how much you removed getting it to it's current condition, it's guess work as to...

    Hey from Asheville

Welcome Dan. And at the end of a hard day polishing, you have some of the best beer available on the east coast to quench your thirst. If you partake that is.

    Rusted out Sirius Antenna Resiude

That IS nasty looking! Least aggressive method first. Soapy water, obviously ... maybe a product like Iron-X ... a light polish or cleaner wax ... GooGone or an adhesive remover if there is still some padding left ... sometimes an erasure wheel on a drill is needed for the really tough two sided...

    Sister Damaged Dad's Car

If your (or Dad's) options include getting it professionally done, you may as well tinker with it yourself to see what you can accomplish, and learn. It won't be perfect but Dad may not care? Without seeing it in person, I might suggest wet sanding around the edges of the big damaged spots, fill...

PLEASE HELP: Tips & tricks to speed up my process?

A lot of times it's about expectations, yours. You probably go after that last grain of sand in the carpet, the other guy doesn't. And it's likely no one will ever see that grain. My suggestion, find things in your own process that may land in that "overkill" category. If you can't find any...
