    tonneau cover question

Looking like that Sonax product does not stain plastic? Other sonax polymer, polish, etc if it contacts plastics?

Thanks Bobby. Just saw the Bakflip deal Mike did with Sonax in Feb '21. Gonna try it as the aluminum framed tonneu's are all basically the same.

    tonneau cover question

Its a pretty decent tri-fold cover on my 2019 Honda Ridgeline. Lightweight, hard panels, 5 minutes off - 8 minutes back on. Curious about protecting it. The panels are a hard fiber something with a plastic-like textured surface. The support frames around each panel are painted aluminum. The end...

seal plastic trim after sealing paint?

Upon further review: I may tape off a section at a time that way it may not feel so daunting. I think my concern is I don't really want to work that close to the ground, for that long, all the way around the vehicle. I would rather be applying the sealant at this work height than be struggling...

seal plastic trim after sealing paint?

Trim sealant first sounds right. It's basically all the plastic-like product All around the skirting area between painted and road. Need to buy the WETS probably get the Black fire AIO as my only AIO left now is Opti-Seal. Applying with machine, hand apply the trim seal after a wash/clay...

seal plastic trim after sealing paint?

Throwing an AIO on my 2019 Ridgeline soon. Paints in real good shape. Gonna put a treatment of some sort on the exterior plastic trim as well. Plastic trim after paint buff and AIO? Plastic trim and then paint buff with AIO. Probly get some WETS or something of that nature. Guessing we don't...

    bottle change for Optimum sprays

Upon further review. In ref to the Home Depot spray bottle offers: The $5 model is the Spraymaster. The $3 model is the ZEP Professional (yellow handle). I use the ZEP's for almost everything. Good bottle. Just tried the more expensive to compare.

    bottle change for Optimum sprays

Tried these two last night (Opti spray compound/Opti spray polish) from a spray bottle I bought as I got the Opti in bulk. Home depot spray bottle with yellow handle ($3.00) and the grey-brown (non see-thru) one for about $5 both worked ok. The Opti compound is much thicker than the polish...

    bottle change for Optimum sprays

I'm thinking that quality of bottle mechanics and amount of output due to spraying on the squeeze and subsequent release of trigger makes no difference if the hole it's coming out of is standard size for a more "water-like' product....apc's, solvents, and such. I'm going to get a few bottles of...

    bottle change for Optimum sprays

tks golliger and ZeroSP I think the sprayer is a clogging issue Would make sense that a spray polish would be thicker than normal liquids thus the sprayer need maybe a bigger orifice. Possibly a top quality sprayer as you noted would make the difference. If not...maybe a tiny size drill bit...

    bottle change for Optimum sprays

Just ordered new spray polishes from Optimum via AG recent sale. Worried about the spray bottles as that's what I've read here. Bought bulk sizes and want to get good bottles for the spray. Although the product (if mixed up in container properly) would probly be ok in a regular squeeze bottle, I...

    Using water tanks

Just from an engineering approach: one tank in center of trailer (directly over axles) or one per side with piping to balance fluid levels. Dont' want the tail waggin' the dog. Front to back balance important to think of as well. Think it thru, have fun, and good luck!

    combining Duragloss 601 with 105 or 501

good post... I too have combo'd the DG's w/601 as a 4:1 in small plastic bottles from dollar store. Made up small amounts but had plenty remaining. Each day after I turned the small bottle over on it's top/bottom to see if it was flowing. Kinda like turning a paint can over and over to keep it...

    AIO w/sealant vs sealant alone

Appreciate the input. Foghat that the DG sealants/polishes with the 601 would probly be ok to top rite away. I'm just trying to formulate a general though pattern/timeframe for AIO sealants vs stand alones after polish. Will look at that link DougW..thanks.

    AIO w/sealant vs sealant alone

I do understand that AIO products with sealant normally have minimal cut, some polishing, and a sealant. I refer to XMT 360, PB polish/sealant, OP opti-seal, GG all in one sealant. But do the sealants in an AIO need time to cure? Wax topper right after? I have used WG 3.0 as a stand alone...
