Used car. Where do I start?

According to the forum I haven’t signed in here since 2013...when my daughter was born and spare time went away ;) So once upon a time I used to enjoy this as a quasi hobby but I obviously haven’t kept up and have forgotten a lot. Which is why I’m here... i just picked up an old 2006 Range...

Washed my car in 50 degree, windy weather...

Hell 50 would be a heat wave even here in Alabama lately! As a transplanted Canadian I will say that the cold has a dampness to it here that it didn't growing up in Ontario. I'd shovel my driveway in a t-shirt in college when it was 15 or 20 out. Here I flake out when it gets into the 30's -...

    My poor baby...

Wow 394k on a Hyundai. I thought my 252k on my '04 Kia Optima was something! Back to regularly scheduled programming... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Help! Steering wheel leather

I just royally scuffed up the wheel in my A4 getting out of the car. Had a damn pocket knife clipped to the pocket of my jeans and some how dragged it across the whole bottom of the wheel. The leather isn't cracked more like just rolled or crimped if that makes sense. I'm sure however it will...

    My Detailing Prices

Well I live (live not from, always have to make that distinction!) in Alabama and those prices would be really low even here. I'd raise them a good bit if I were you also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Newbie Bug Removal

The bugs, at longest, have sat for a week but I keep the car in the garage most days. The problem I'm having this time is a weekends worth of bugs that sat for a week while parked at the airport in the sun. I wouldn't have thought that would be too long. But it certainly seems like it was...

    Newbie Bug Removal

Diluted at 3 to 1, using just a cheapie microfiber cloth. I let it sit for at least 30 seconds, longer if possible (horizontal or vertical). If that doesn't work I reapply and rub some more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Newbie Bug Removal

I'm using Bug Squash to get the bugs off the the front of my new car and it works pretty good on getting the majority off. It certainly smells better than the stuff I used to use. But the problem I'm having is that it still leaves a residue where the bug was. I call it a hologram - like the bug...

    3M Headlight Restoration Kit

I used the kit about a year ago and found it worked great. However I never "got around" to sealing them after I did it and not surprisingly they got cloudy much (MUCH) faster the second time around. Not much help for a product rec. but don't be lazy like me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
