Your pictures need to be the same color temperature in order to accurately compare the two. That being said, there is definitely a great improvement and the car looks awesome!

I have the 5.5 inch CCS pads I got with my porter cable, they work pretty well. Would love to compare different "styles" of pads though.

I have never used a blackfire product but am looking to try blackwire wet diamond soon!

If the 2000 grit is even and uniform, you can start with 105 with an orange pad and work your way up to a more aggressive pad if it doesn't work. If the paint isn't uniformly dull, then you might need to sand more (maybe 2000 again or going down a bit to 1500-1800). After 105, go for 205 and...

It works very well, you need a minimum of 1100 psi and 1.45 gpm for it to work. Let me know if you have any other questions, I just got mine last week and am thoroughly impressed at the price and performance).

Re: Don't use your polisher without it! I was frantically searching for it today thinking that it came with the backing plate and I threw it out... then I looked at the pad the porter cable came with and the washer was on there. I never knew we had to transfer it to other backing plates. Thanks!
