I actually just got it back from getting some hail damage repaired and while the glue for the badges was still wet, I removed the Impreza that was above the WRX on the trunk. I might remove some or all the badges on the left side of the trunk, but haven't decided.

They did do some sanding and it is a little swirled out. Whoever did the buffing/sanding did a horrible job. There is still some buffing compound left on the car, and they obviously didn't tape off the trim as there is white compound left on multiple places. I'm going back to get them to fix...
