One Step Product & Machine Advice

Thanks Mike this article is immensely helpful. All makes sense now. I have one last question for you in regards to the GG 5” backing plates. In your G9 review (fantastic article btw) you state that you used the “older” GG 5” backing plate (part # 10550) that was designed for the G6 because...

Griot's Garage 5 Inch Vented Backing Plate

I'm looking for a GG 5 Inch Vented Backing plate for the G9 I will be purchasing. AG offers two part numbers: GR-10555 and GR-10550. In the description for GR-10555, it specifically states that this backing plate is for the G9 and G6's. This plate is out of stock with no available date...

One Step Product & Machine Advice

Thanks Mike and everyone for the quick replies!! Pardon not inserting quotes, I'm still learning how to not respond like an infant. I'm not very inclined with these sorts of things. Great tip on the wash mits for my local auto salon. Fortunately, they are the top choice in Las Vegas and do...

One Step Product & Machine Advice

Hi Mike, Hope this finds you well!! It's been about 7 years since I've been on the forum. I took a break from detailing and maintaining my vehicles to devote all my time to growing my business. Now that everything is running smoothly and I have more free time, I'm ready and eager to start...

Rupes UHS Easy Gloss System Release at Autogeek

Wow, end of the world nearing, good thing you pointed that out. I was referring to AG's previous announcement below: http://www.autogeek.net/rupes-uhs-easy-gloss-system.html I would like to determine if this is in fact going to be carried by AG and available in December or if I need to go to...

    DP RWG & Hard Water

I do wash only one panel at a time in my garage. Unfortunately here in Las Vegas when it is 115 degrees in the summer, water evaporates quickly.

    DP RWG & Hard Water

I have been using DP's Rinseless Wash & Gloss with excellent results. However, if I do not dry the car quick enough I get water spots that are hard to remove. The water in Las Vegas is very hard. I was wondering should I be using distilled water for my rinseless and QD solutions? Thanks!

    Light Duty Polishing/Wax Removal

It's that time of year again to strip the wax off my car and apply a new coat. My paint is still swirl free from when I did a full paint correction with SIP/Nano/085rd back in April. I have a couple of fine scratches and hard water spots here and there from washing and normal wear and tear...

Fuzion or SSII on LeMans Blue Metallic

Hey Folks, It's that time again for a full detail. I'm thinking of trying a new LSP after a full prep using hopefully a Flex with either TSR/FG/085rd or SIP/Nano/085rd. Previously, I used DGPS with excellent results. Durability, protection and slickness is still amazing after 4 months...

Is SIP/NANO that much better than TSR/FG??

Thanks everybody so far for the input. I'm seeing the Megs 105/205 combo is the general consensus so far. However, I really don't need anything as aggressive as 105. I don't have serious correction to do. Just some leftover scratches from the previous detail and some new scratches. The...

Is SIP/NANO that much better than TSR/FG??

It's that time again to polish the Vette for spring/summer. Previously I used TSR/FG with 95% succesful removal of swirls and scratches. I attribute not achieving 100% removal to my undepowered 1st generation Meguiars G100 DA and not using flat pads (5.5 flat pads were not available through...
